Mrs. Almanzo Wilder, formerly known as Laura Ingalls, and fondly nicknamed “Bessie” by her husband, spoke at Fulda City Hall on Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Wilder, portrayed by historian Melanie Stringer, New Hampshire, offered a research-based, first-person, interactive history lesson. Her program featured original research concentrated specifically on Laura Ingalls’ life, hands-on artifact displays, and period authentic clothing.
