Candidates who have filed with the Minnesota Secretary of State for the position of mayor of the City of Fulda, City Council positions and Fulda School District #505 School Board positions recently responded to a “Meet the Candidate” questionnaire sent to them by the Fulda Free Press. Candidate Name: Chad Ouellette
Please state what position you are vying for and why you feel you are qualified: I am running for the position of mayor. My qualifications include over five years experience in city government and completion of the Minnesota League of Cities newly elected officials course.
Experience for office sought: I have 3 1/2 years of experience as a city council member and 2 years experience as city mayor. I understand the budget process and the goals that the current council is working towards.
Please talk about your family, if you so choose to list them. My wife Anne and I have lived in Fulda for 19 years. We have three children – Jessica, Hunter and Grace. We also have one grandson, Sullivan. We are members of the First Presbyterian Church.
Candidate Name: Jeremy Winters
Please state what position you are vying for and why you feel you are qualified: Mayor. There’s several reasons I could list, but the #1 reason I can think of is I’m average.
Experience for office sought: I am a Navy vet. I lead a group of people for a major energy company.
