Local United Way executive director and Imagination Library affiliate, Marcy Heemeyer, met the program founder and musical icon, Dolly Parton, when her Pure and Simple Tour made a stop in Sioux Falls, SD last Friday evening. Heemeyer had the opportunity to meet Parton backstage before the concert and have her photo taken with the living legend. In addition to stating how much she loved the shirts that Heemeyer and her guest were wearing, Parton also took the time to thank Heemeyer for her local work with the program. As a bonus, Heemeyer received two front row tickets as a surprise which allowed her group of four, who had purchased tickets much farther back, to rotate throughout the duration of the concert for an even better view of the show.
