A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
December 19, 2017, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Kluis, Magnus, Gunnink, Jens and Thiner. Also, present Ronda Radke and Travis Smith.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for Judicial Ditch No. 3 totaling $1,803.00
MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 11, 22, 54, 62 and Judicial Ditches No. 3, 8 totaling $7,827.05.
MSP Resolution 2017-12-19-01, Resolution Setting the 2018 Levies for County and Judicial Drainage Systems in Murray County.
MSP to set a public hearing for the Abandonment of Murray County Ditch 68, Branch B (M.S. §103E.806) for January 2, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. in the Commissioner Room of the Murray County Government Center.
MSP Resolution 2017-12-19-02, Resolution Setting the 2018 Final Levy
MSP to accept the bid from Joe Schreier Construction in the amount of $5660.00 and the material bid from Slayton Building Materials in the amount of $15,915.00, with the work to be completed by May 1, 2018.
MSP to approve a local option reduction of taxes (M.S. §273.123, subd. 7) for Richard Like, PID 26-100-0270 in the amount of $526.00, further moving to authorize the Board Chair to sign the abatement form on behalf of the County.
MSP to approve the Southwest Health Care Preparedness Coalition Participation Agreement authorizing the Board Chair to sign agreement, effective until 06/30/2022.
MSP to approve the purchase of the Eventide NexLog 740 Logger from West Central Communications at $20,956.50 from the E911 fund. With an annual payment of $875.00 each year. Purchase paid from code 01283-283-6650.
Open Forum/Public Comment – No members of the public were present.
MSP to approve the Sanitary Sewer Interconnect Agreement between the City of Currie, MN, the Shetek Area Water and Sewer District, and Murray County, furthermore authorizing the Board Chair to sign the agreement.
MSP to approve the contract amendment, the proposed contract amendment extends the completion date until December 31, 2018, with the estimated not to exceed cost increased from $12,800.00 to $15,000.00 with Southwest Regional Development Commission (SRDC) for the update of Murray County’s Land Use Ordinances.
MSP to approve amendments to the Murray County Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Plan, including the 2018 Budget.
MSP to approve the donation from Shetek Sportsman Association of $500.00 to be used to offset the cost of purchasing an aeration motor for Lime Lake and Lake Shetek.
MSP Resolution 2017-12-19-03, Resolution Setting the 2018 Budget
MSP to approve going into closed session for the evaluation of the performance of Extension Office Manager Nancy Pieske pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.05, subd. 3.
MSP to approve coming out of closed session.
MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of December 3, 2017 to December 16, 2017.
