An aggressive Murray County Central varsity girls’ basketball squad forced numerous Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda turnovers and claimed a huge 79-25 victory over the Coyotes at Fulda last Thursday evening, January 24.
The Rebels posted a 46-16 halftime advantage and held the Coyotes to just nine points after intermission.
Only four players scored for HL-O / Fulda and the rest of the Coyote game statistics were not available at press time on Monday.
Junior Kelsey Fuerstenberg made three two-point goals and sank a trio of free throws to lead the Coyotes with nine points. Sophomore Morgan Gehl (six), freshman Chrissy Hermeling (six) and freshman Emily Madison (four) combined for HLOF’s other 16 points.
