It was not a good day of baseball for Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda in a make-up Red Rock Conference doubleheader at Slayton last Thursday, May 17.
After traveling to Slayton on Monday (May 14) to face the Murray County Central Rebels in a pair of games, the Coyotes faced the disappointment of having to travel back home without a pitch being thrown as MCC’s rain-soaked field was deemed unfit to play on.
Things did not well for HLOF on Thursday, as MCC scored early and often in the opener, posting a 14-3 victory in five innings. In the second game, the Rebels prevailed by another lop-sided score, winning 16-3.
