Memorial Day was observed in Fulda with military services held at all four cemeteries, a Colors Parade, and a Program. Military services began at 7:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery and then moved onto Seward Cemetery. From there, they were held at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery. About 8:30 a.m., services were held at Prairie Hill Cemetery north of Fulda.
The Color Guards for American Legion Post #328 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9017, along with the ladies auxiliaries, followed by the Fulda High School Band, students, families and friends, lined up at Fulda Elementary School. They processed to Fulda Lake for military services there, then on to Fulda High School for the Memorial Day program, which begat at 10 a.m.
