A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
August 21, 2018, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Kluis, Gunnink, Jens, and Thiner. Also present Aurora Heard and Travis Smith. Excused Absence: Magnus
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to approve the minutes from August 7, 2018.
MSP and carried that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated August 21, 2018 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 156759 through 156836:

County Road & Bridge Fund 62,213.07

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 7, 22, 34, 76A(2), admin 200.00 totaling $7,052.50.
MSP passed to declare the tan 2000 Chrysler Town & Country van (from motor pool) as surplus equipment, further moving to authorize it for sale at public auction.
MSP to approve the County Engineer advertise for an independent contractor to clean the highway department.
MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditch No. 72 and Judicial Ditch No. 14, pull petition #2018-064 (JD 3, Holly Twp. Sec. 36, Murray Co.; Ann Twp. Sec. 31 & Westbrook Twp. Sec. 6, Cottonwood Co., District 1 – Jens) and to deny petition #2018-051 (CD 82, Mason Twp. Sec. 21, District 1 – Jens).
MSP to approve beginning the recruitment process for a part time, 24 hour per week, Jailer/Dispatcher.
MSP to approve beginning the recruitment process for a full time deputy sheriff.
MSP to approve a status change for Ryan Baker and Devin Gillette from regular part time to regular full time effective August 21, 2018.
MSP to approve paying a one-time payment for crop damage due to the pumping of Lake Elsie to: Mitchell Magnus a total of $630.00 and Travis Schreier a total of $800.00 and to extend a Thank You for their cooperation.

MSP to approve the low quote for replacing the garage roof at Sunrise Terrace to the Oslund Construction in the amount of $8,652.58.
MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of July 29, 2018 to August 11, 2018.
