A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
March 28, 2017, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Magnus, Jens, Kluis, Thiner and Gunnink. Also present Aurora Heard and
Travis Smith.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to rescind the following motion from March 21, 2017, “It was moved by Magnus, seconded by Gunnink and passed to approve setting a Strategic Planning Meeting for March 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Country Host in Slayton”.
MSP to approve consent agenda item 1.
MSP to approve not paying Nobles County expenses on Judicial Ditch 12 and to have County Attorney draft a letter as to the reasons why.
MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditch No. 30 and Judicial Ditches No. 3, 7, 11, 17, 20, 26, totaling $1,635.92
MSP to approve proceeding with a contract with B & W Control Specialists for ditch spraying.
MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of March 12, 2017 to March 25, 2017.
MSP to approve the End O Line Park On-Season Wedding Policy with the language change from Weddings to Tours.
MSP to approve Soil and Water’s 2017 first quarter appropriation in the amount of $46,569.75.
MSP to approve the updated position description for the Weed Sprayer II, begin the recruitment process.
MSP to approve a temporary reclassification of Intermittent Deputy Devin Gillette to regular part time Deputy through November 30, 2017.
MSP to approve the capital improvement plan policy.
Open Forum-Public Comment – No members of the public were present.
MSP to approve the updated Water Resources Technician position description, with a title change to Environmental Technician, classified at a labor grade 13, and to begin the recruitment process for the position.
MSP to approve a title change of the Zoning Administrator position to Zoning/Environmental Administrator.
MSP to approve hiring Chris Baumberger, as an Assessing Technician.
