Heidi Winter, auditor-treasurer, shared presented the commissioner warrants as well as ditch bills for the board’s approval during their regular meeting on March 3rd. Additionally the board approved a mid-year liquor license Key Largo on Shetek, LLC and waived the fee as the regular liquor license comes up for renewal in May. The former owners had already paid the previous year’s license thus the reason for the waiver.
Heath Landsman, chief deputy, said the sheriff’s department received a federal grant in the amount of $16,150.00 as part of the State of Minnesota Federal Boating Safety Supplemental Equipment Grant Agreement. Items to be purchased with the funds include 50 buoy solar lights, 40 buoy wraps, and 25 buoys for a total of $16,445.00. The $295.00 over and above the grant amount will be taken out of the boat and water account.
