Murray County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday, April 25. Marcy Barritt, assessor introduced Chris Baumberger as the new assessor technician.
Auditor/treasurer Heidi Winter presented several bills for payment on the ditch systems for a total of $5,706.55. She also requested 1/2 payment to L & S Electric for work on the wiring of the motors for the solar curtains on the government center. The second motor needs to be replaced before wiring.
Xcel Energy recently did an audit of the lighting system in the government buildings. On their recommendation Commissioner Dave Thiner requested up to $12,000 to change the bulbs to LED with an energy savings in two years. The board approved this and changing of the bulbs will be done by county employees.
