The Murray County Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, December 17th. They gave the go ahead nod to pay the commissioner warrants and also moved to delegate Heidi Winter, auditor-treasurer, to approve any remaining eligible 2019 claims to be paid in an auditor’s warrant batch with review by Tom Burke, county administrator.
Ditch bills were reviewed and approved for payment. The board also approved the resolution for E911 assessments for 2020 with the rural sign assessment set at $3.00, which remains the same as 2019, and extended for assessments payable in 2020 for all non-exempt parcels in Murray County. The amount estimated to be collected in 2020 is $18,500 with budgeted expenses set at $30,300.00
Discussion took place regarding beaver control fee for 2020. It was decided to set the fee at $75.00 per nuisance beaver that are adversely affecting any county road, ditch or park. The pocket gopher bounty remained the same at $2.00.
Approval was given to the following for tobacco licenses; Carlson’s Corner, Ruppert Oil, Pete’s Corner, Chandler Coop, Avoca Municipal Liquor Store, Roger Hamman – Trail’s Edge General Store and DG Retail, LLC (dba Dollar General Store, Fulda).
