Murray County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday, May 2. The Auditor/treasurer presented the ditch viewers bills for redetermination of benefits on several county ditches. A resolution was signed to participate in Performance Measures Program in 2017. The county has used the program since 2011 and received local performance aid that determines the efficacy of the county in providing service. The county is reimbursed $0.14 per capita in local government aid and are also exempt from levy limits. There are ten benchmarks adopted by the board including Public Safety, Probation/Corrections, Public works, Public Health, Social Services, Taxation, Elections, Veterans’ Service, Parks and Libraries. The performance measures will be published on the Murray County Website by December 31, 2017.
Murray County is the fiscal host for the Regional Small cities Development Program Loans. A subordination request was granted to Christopher and Cara Bressler, Lake Benton, MN for a loan to make additional updates and repairs to the home.
