A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

July 2, 2019 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Gunnink, Jens, Kluis, Thiner, and Welgraven. Also present were Travis Smith and Christy Riley.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to approve the minutes from the June 25, 2019 and June 27, 2019 meetings.

MSP and carried that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated July 2, 2019 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 159518 through 159571:

County Revenue Fund 53,650.86

County Road & Bridge Fund 16,730.29

Self-Insurance 4,599.23

Sunrise Terrace 7,131.63

Total 82,112.01

MSP to approve the ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 42, 57, 72 81 and Judicial Ditch No. 14 totaling $6,107.70.

MSP to set a Public Hearing to receive the Viewers’ Reports and Public Comment on the Redetermination of Benefits for Murray County Judicial Ditch 18 and Judicial Ditch 21 for July 17, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. in the Commissioner Room of the Murray County Government Center.

MSP to approve Pay Application No. 1 to Doom & Cuypers Construction, Inc. for the Sundquist Park Bathroom, Septic & Sidewalk Project in the amount $45,022.60.

MSP to approve hiring Thomas Burke in the regular full-time exempt position of County Administrator at a labor grade 21, step 6, with a start date of July 22, 2019.

MSP to reschedule budget meetings to 8:30 a.m. on July 29, July 30 and possibly July 31 (if needed) in order to review 2020 budgets with Department Heads, the County Auditor-Treasurer, and the County Administrator.

MSP to approve the ditch inspection report for County Ditches No. 43A, 57 and Judicial Ditches No. 10, 12, 14.

MSP Resolution 2019-07-02-01, Managed Care Organization Procurement

MSP to declare as surplus property four old fiberglass fish tanks from the Horticulture Building, further moving to permit the Parks Department to sell the tanks via eBay.

MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of June 16, 2019 to June 29, 2019.

Open Form/Public Comment – No one present.

MSP to approve the Murray County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) quarterly allocation request.

MSP to offer the use of the 4-H Building free-of-charge for childcare provider training as long as the building is available.

MSP to approve the highway construction contract with Landwehr Construction for SAP 51-599-107 to be signed by the County Auditor-Treasurer, County Attorney and Board Chair.

MSP to award the quote to James Lozinski Construction of Marshall in the amount of $32,125.00 to replace the roof on the ACE/Food Service Building Roof with a completion date of August 1, 2019.
