A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
June 25, 2019 Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Gunnink, Jens, Kluis, Thiner, and Welgraven. Also present were Travis Smith and Amy Rucker.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to approve the minutes from the June 18, 2019 Board of Commissioners meeting with corrections.
MSP to approve the minutes from the June 18, 2019 Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting with corrections.
MSP to approve the ditch contractor bills for County Ditch No. 22 and Judicial Ditch No. 15 totaling $1,433.80.
MSP to ratify and acknowledge the following fund transfers and investments for May 2019. No transfers made, investments 1 CD renewed on 5/3/19 (12 months) Currie State Bank, 2.40% for $500,000.00 and 1 CD purchased on 5/30/19 (12 months) First National Bank, 2.55% for $500,000.00.
MSP to proceed with specifications to shingle the roof of the ACE/Food Service Building.
MSP to approve the ditch inspection report for County Ditch No. 43 and Judicial Ditches No. 03, 05, 20A.
MSP Resolution 2019-06-25-01, Murray County Board of County Commissioners Review of Proposed State Land Acquisition.
MSP Resolution 2019-06-25-02, Murray County Board of County Commissioners Review of Proposed State Land Acquisition.
MSP to sign a grant agreement established via the 2019 1st Special Minnesota Session, Chapter 3, Article 1, Section 6 & Article 2, Section 36 with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety in which the county shall receive funds in the amount of $30,710.01 via Deputy Registrar Office Number 80. The grant agreement is to be signed by the Board Chair and Clerk to the Board.
MSP to hired Nick Demuth as a Seasonal Museum Assistant with a start date of July 1, 2019.
MSP to choose Option 1 as offered by Nationwide and to have the Human Resources Generalist sign the contract.
MSP to approve the amended contract with Southwest Regional Development Commissioner (SRDC) for the update of Murray County’s Land Use Ordinances, further authorizing the Board Chair and the Human Resources Generalist to sign the contract.
MSP to approve the use of Minnesota Department of Agriculture Growth, Research, and Innovation Program (AGRI) grant funds for various fairgrounds activities, including pouring concrete between the swine barn and hoop barn and paying livestock and horticulture judges and security personnel.
MSP to allow the Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps to camp on the Murray County Fairgrounds from August 21 – 28, 2019.
Open Forum/Public Comment – Steve Fresk was present.
MSP to approve the purchase of an email archiver appliance from Morris Electronics in the amount of $3,945.26 for use in the Sheriff’s Office.
