The Murray County Board of Commissioners approved moving the bid opening date for the government center roof project to July 14, 2016 at l:00 p.m. The project will awarded on July 19 at 9:00 a.m.
Commissioner Dave Thiner said he had recently walked through the former food service building with personnel from Wonder World to determine if the space could be used for the daycare facility. No decisions were made.
Howard Konkol, ditch inspector, presented three ditches for repair. County Ditch #22, Section 13, Shetek Township – rip rap collapse on the corners of the ditch. Several options were discussed and Konkol will consult with Bolton and Menk, engineers, for recommendations. CD #29, Sections 25, 26, 35, and 36, Shetek Township and Sections 1 and 2 in Murray Township – the request was for a complete cleanout of the open ditch. Advertising for the project will begin soon with bid opening in August. A meeting will be held with the landowners. A camera was used to determine the extent of the repair needed on CD #87, Section 36, Lake Sarah Township. The tile line and outlet have become misaligned due to the ice breakup in the spring. Necessary repairs to the line and outlet will be made before the landscaping is redone.
