A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

October 23, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Jens, Kluis, Magnus, and Thiner. Also present Aurora Heard and Travis Smith. Excused Absence: Lori Gunnink.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to approve the minutes from October 16, 2018 as corrected.

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 22, 65 and Judicial Ditch No. 20A totaling $1,086.75.

MSP to set the following special meetings for the court security project: Board Special Meeting on Tuesday October 30 at 8:30 a.m. – Board approve specs and advertising for bids and a Special Meeting on Thursday November 29th at 11:30 a.m. to consider awarding the bid for the courthouse security remodel project.

MSP to approve taking the boarding of the K-9 dog Abby from the drug dog budget

MSP accepting the resignation of Deputy Sheriff Brian Gass, effective November 2, 2018.

MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditches No. 7, 22, 42, 43A, 75 and Judicial Ditch No. 14.

MSP to approve paying the Johnson Ditching bill for CD 11 in the amount of $4,184.38.

MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of October 7, 2018 to October 20, 2018.

The meeting was recessed.

The meeting was called back to order.

Open Forum – Dennis Welgraven spoke regarding Prime West and the $1,1135,673.68 cost to join Prime West vs. the approximate $880,000 that had been discussed by Southern Prairie when Southern Prairie presented to the County Board.

MSP to approve going into closed session for labor negotiations pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13. D03.

MSP to approve coming out of closed session.
