The Murray County Board of Commissioners met on August 15. The warrants were accepted and ditch bills approved for payment.
The board approved pay application No 1 for Judicial Ditch 8 improvement. Loo Con, Inc. is the contractor for the $378,212,34 project in Sections 1, 2, 11, and 12 of Cameron Township.
A notice was received from Minnesota Counties Insurance Trust (MCIT) citing the dividend for 2017 will be $85,879 This is a decrease from a year ago and payment will be in mid-November. Notice is given early to assist with the budgeting process for 2018.
Two ditch inspections by Howard Konkol were approved for repair – Judicial Ditch #02, Section 15 Lime Lake Township and County Ditch 06 Section 13 Cameron Township. He also discussed with the board Judicial Ditch #51. No decision was made.
Museum director, Janet Timmerman requested repair of hand railings and aggregate on the Boardwalk at the End-O-Line Park. The item is on next year’s budget but there is enough in this year’s budget for the project. Commissioner James Jens will assist with obtaining quotes and the work may still get done this fall.
