Warrants and ditch bills were approved in the amounts of $82,112.01 and $6,107.70 respectively.
Quotes to repair the roof at the ACE building were opened. Thirteen contractors were contacted to see they were interested in placing a bid. Two contractors returned quotes on the specified work to be done. The work was awarded to Mark Greeble Custom Homes, Inc., Pipestone, MN, $33,702.95. The estimated start date is July 15th with a completion date of July 22nd. James Lozinske Construction, Marshall, MN, presented a quote of $32,125.00 with an estimated start date of July 15th, with estimated completion date of August 1st. The bid was awarded to Lozinske Construction.
Heidi Winter, auditor-treasurer, discussed the ditch project for redetermination of benefits on JD 18 and JD 2. This is a joint project between Murray County, Lyon and Redwood County. A public hearing to receive the Viewer’s Reports and public comment on the redetermination for Murray County JD 18 and JD 21 has been set for July 17, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. in the commissioner room of the Murray County Government Center. These redeterminations of benefit are directly related to the improvement of JD 20A/JD 6. It was recommended by the ditch viewers to hold public hearings at the same time.
The board approved the pay application 1 request from Doom & Cuypers Construction, Inc. for the Sundquist Park bathroom project in the amount of $45,022.60 leaving a balance of $123,416.40 which includes $2,385.40 retainage.
Commissioner Thiner brought forward, for the board’s approval, the hiring of Thomas Burke for county administrator with hiring date set at July 22nd with a starting salary of $105,851.20. The motion for his hire was approved and passed.
