The Murray County Medical Center held their annual board meeting on Wednesday, July 24th.
Dr. Klingler/Dr. Snow gave an update on medical staff appointments. In it, he said Darci Van Dyke, LP, PhD will be renting space and providing psychiatry services at MCMC and will be there one day a week. Gary Plotz, DDS, and Andrew Finkbeiner, MD were re-appointed using the consulting listing. Carolyn Larson, CRNA (Anesthesia), Brian Chabot, PA-C (Emergency medicine) and Patricia Haak, LPN (Ophthalmology) were all re-appointed to Allied Health Professional listing.
Dr. Snow shared the final copy of the by-laws with the board members and explained the updated credentialing. He said Allied Health Professional is once again in the by-laws as a definition and category as well as adding Advanced Practice Professionals. Also the old by-laws listed the facility as Murray County Memorial Hospital which has not been updated to Murray County Medical Center. The old by-laws listed the chief of staff as the chief medical officer. Dr. Snow inserted himself and used his current job description to update the document. He explained the by-laws are required to be reviewed every two years. Snow also plans to review policies and procedures at MCMC.
