Claiming a 20-point halftime lead, the visiting Ellsworth Panthers rolled to a 69-35 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda in varsity girls’ basketball action at Okabena last Tuesday evening, November 27.
It was the first home game of the new season for the Coyotes, who are representing a first-year pairing arrangement of Heron Lake-Okabena and Fulda High Schools.
Ellsworth held a lead a 35-15 at halftime and continued to outscore the Coyotes after intermission.
Junior guard Khloe Gehl connected on a trio of three-point shots in the game for HL-O / Fulda as she scored a team-high 11 points.
