Filings closed for Village elections October 9th with more public interest than any other election in the history of Fulda. Why? Because, for the first time in Fulda history, a woman, Mrs. Lucille Gerber, wife of Charlie Gerber, has filed for the office of Mayor. Also filing for mayor was Cliff Suedbeck (incumbent councilman). Not filing for re-election was Incumbent Mayor Marv Heinrichs.
Filing for the two council positions are Incumbent Roland Miller and Bill Fuerstenberg; Jerry Hoff is challenging incumbent Dale McKenzie for the Constable office.
In Avoca, incumbent mayor Verner Granquist has chosen not to file and no other filings for mayor were received. Both Frank Voss and Marian Lindberg have filed for another term on the Avoca council.
