Mrs. Harder celebrated her 84th birthday this week.

James Gardner rites to be held Thursday in Brewster. Mr. Gardner, a widely-known Graham Lakes Township farmer, passed away October 12th at the age of 80 years old.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gehl are the parents of a daughter born October 8th.

Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hanson are the parents of a daughter born on October 10th in Worthington.

A son, Timothy, was born on Sunday to Mr. and Mrs. Loren Pfingsten. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Pfingsten are the grandparents.

Mrs. Groskreutz became a grandmother twice on the same day – On Thursday, October 8th her son and wife gave birth to a baby girl and her daughter and her husband also gave birth to a baby girl.

Starting October 22nd, Dundee telephone customers will pay slightly higher rates for local service due to an increase in the calling area.

Frank Michelau lost control of his car about three miles south of Dundee on the Brewster road on his way home from Worthington Thursday evening. The car flipped several times and was a total wreck. Mr. Michelau was unhurt, except for an injury to a previously injured shoulder.

Pat Reusse had the misfortune of fracturing his right arm during football practice last week. Pat will be carrying it around in a sling for several weeks.

Janice and Bernard Ramert are proudly living on the family Century Farm first homesteaded by Frank Ramert, Bernard’s father.

Rev. Gary Clayton, a former Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will hold an organ recital on November 5th, 1989 at St. Paul’s church. The recital is open to the public.

Jenny Ackerman was awarded the Silver Award, the second highest award in Girl Scouting, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church on Sunday.

Laverne E. Raatz passed away on October 8th at the age of 79 years old.

Stan and Beth Kramer are proud to announce the arrival of their son, Kody, on October 13th. Grandparents are Mary Goettig, and Kriene and Violet Kramer.

Fred and Elizabeth Wolf landed an 8 lb. 7 oz. Walleye at Lake Shetek on September 12th.

Dale Sandberg and his class of energetic sixth graders have taken the assignment out of the school book and hit the road as they track Wayne and Barb Sandberg travel throughout the United States hauling various items with their semi rig.

The Fulda City Council members voted unanimously to set up a web site for the City of Fulda.

The Fulda Fire Department responded to two fires on Friday. The first was to a combine of Jeff Zins where a fire caused extensive damage to the engine compartment area of a combine.

The Fulda Fire Department was quick to respond to a second call at the home of Donna Duinkerken last Saturday to extinguish a fire in the basement. The fire, which began from a possible pinched electrical cord, left smoke damage throughout the home.

The Egg Lady – Evalena Jarmer retires from the egg business after some 70 years.

Ronald McDonald visits the Fulda Elementary School for the  Character Counts program.

Jennifer Smith and Cory Vold were married on April 17th at First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, MN.

Alan and JoLynn Vander Lugt are the proud parents of Marcus born October 7th.

Harry Mathison passed away on October 15th at the age of 78 years old.

Herman Lemmerman passed away on October 15th at the age of 85 years old.

Celebrating Birthdays at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in October are Mary Lanners, Lillian Heintz, Marge Chepa, Mary Filk, Helen Adams and Jean Steiner.

Dale Brock caught a monsterous Walleye last Thursday from the dock on Fulda’s first lake.
