Golden Wedding Anniversary celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Peddycoart who were married on November 8, 1909 in Iowa.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schellenberg celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday. The Schellenbergs were married in a double wedding ceremony on November 10, 1909 in Avoca, MN Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Frisk (deceased).
Mr. and Mrs. Elwain Kuehl are the parents of a daughter, Julie born November 6th.
Local businessmen Tom Webb, Al Wordelman, Otto Hage, F. W. Penrod, Harold Nelson and Ernie Davis attended a meeting with the State Medical Board with the purpose of placing a medical doctor in Fulda and to request Dr. Edward H. Malters be granted a license to practice here upon completion of his internship in Cook County Hospital of Chicago. The men were working on behalf of the Fulda Veterans of Foreign War Post.
Word has been received here of the death of Joe Aschemun, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Larson. He was the husband of Esther Larson. Funeral will be Wednesday.
Ray Viers received the sad message telling of the death of his sister, Grace, of Yankton, SD. Mrs. Grace Kyte died suddenly of a heart attack while watching television.
Percy Peterson, husband of Edna Helweg, died in Minneapolis. Funeral services were held on Tuesday.

The Fulda Fine Arts Bazaar will be held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and promises to be bigger and better with 88 tables booked by exhibitors.
Hank Lenards received a plaque in recognition of his 25 years of service in many fields of school sports by the Minnesota State High School coaches Association.
Fulda Cub and Boy Scouts hold “Scouting For Food” – a campaign designed to feed the nation’s hungry.
In a special session the State Legislature passed, as part of the Omnibus Tax Bill, the SCORE legislation that establishes a statewide waste reduction and recycling program. The legislation requires all counties to reduce land-filling by 25% by 1993. This places a 6% sales tax on garbage hauling fees.
Some of the Fulda citizens working on achieving Fulda’s Star City status were Marlene Magnus, Mary Magnus, Mary Jean Buschena, Lori Ommen, “Doc” Schwarz, Charlie Hopkins, Gert Schwarz and Tom Probst.
The Veterans day program at the Fulda Legion was well attended on Saturday.

Joseph Schindler passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 10th at the age of 71 years old.
John Gundry passed away in San Diego at the age of 78 years old.

New manholes were discussed at the Fulda City Council meet. Each new manhole would cost $1,600 per unit. Several sewer lines have too much distance between manholes and cannot be cleaned properly including the one near St. Paul’s Lutheran School. The project will need to wait until spring.
A Veteran’s Day celebration was held on Thursday at the Fulda Community/Legion Hall to honor those who have served to protect our nation. Honored during the program were Evelyn Hansen, Fran Getzel, Fairy Dass and Molly Magnus all World War I Veteran’s widows.
Deb Pederson will be on of the exhibitors at this year’s Fulda Holiday Craft Bazaar to be held on Saturday.

Helping Hands Pregnancy Center in Worthington director Tammy Buesing and her staff strives to reach out through kindness, love, caring and understating to provide for women in need.
The Fulda sixth grade class recruited the fifth grade class to assist them in their continued Pop Tab Mission. The new goal, as part of their math class, is to reach 1 million by the end of the school year. Currently the 5th and 6th grade combined total is 126 ice cream pails with 5000 tabs in each bucket.

Agnus Kuehl passed away at the age of 92 years old on October 30, 1999.
