Fulda firemen answered three calls this week; twice (Thursday and Friday) to a corn dryer fire at John Cuperus, a tractor and corn picker fire owned by Darrel Schipper.
Darlene Hammerschmidt is recuperating from minor injuries after being involved in a car/semi-truck collision at the corner of Highway 59 and Interstate 90 on Monday. Her car was a total loss.
The Fulda High School Concert Choir have invited choirs from St. Paul’s, First Presbyterian, Faith Lutheran, and Pfingsten to take part in their Annual Christmas Concert to be held on December 19th. The mass choir will perform “Hallelujah Chorus” by Handel and “Silent Night” by Gruber.
Minnesota is one of thirteen states to authorize bonus payments to Vietnam veterans.
Rev. R. Charles Anderson has resigned as pastor of the First Lutheran Church at Dundee and will be moving to Carlton, Minnesota.
Mary Miranowski will represent Minnesota at the National Shorthorn Lassie Queen Contest in Chicago, Illinois on November 19th.
Many local hunters bagged deer on Saturday with over 30 brought in to the Fulda Locker for processing. 62 deer were registered at Rich’s Skelly Station.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Cuperus are the parents of a girl born in Worthington.
Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Van Meterean are the parents of a son born in Slayton.
Charles Goshey passed away on November 3rd at the age of 83 years old.
Gertrude Brandon passed away at the age of 82 years old on November 6, 1973.
George E. Toman died suddenly of a heart attack last week with Mass of Christian Burial held November 7th.

Pearl Lidtke passed away at the age of 79 years old on November 12, 1988.

An accident occurred a the junction of Highways 59 and 30 when Rosella Kirchner and Bruce DeVos collided causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Neither driver was injured.

Fall Band Concert to be held this Thursday with all four bands participating.
Mother Nature presented herself in full force last Tuesday and Wendesday when high winds and blowing snow closed schools and sent people scurrying for home while roads were still open.
A new flag pole stands in front of the Fulda Community/Legion Hall in honor of William Getzel and Wally Getzel. The pole was donated by Fran and Joan Getzel and was erected by Russell Gerdes and Larry Schindler.
The Fulda Firemen were called out to the home of Wally Purdun early Wednesday morning where a fire had started in a bedroom.
Veteran’s Day was commemorated in Fulda last Thursday. The event originally scheduled for Wednesday was postponed due to weather.
National FFA Convention was held November 11-14, 1998 in Kansas City, MO. Fourteen Fulda FFA members attended.

Sarah Wendorff was named All Conference Volleyball while Nancy Grandgeorge received Honorable Mention.
All State Academic honors in volleyball went to Laura zins, Heather Uttech, and Sarah Wendorff.
