Miss Joan Schaff and Mr. Terry Sturm were united in marriage on October 29, 1966 at the Incarnation Catholic Church in Minneapolis.
Michele Weinzetl and Thomas Ludewig were married at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church on October 22nd.
Yellow gladioli, bronze mums and lighted candelabra at the alter of St. Mary’s Church in Dundee made for a pretty setting for the wedding of Helen Kass and Conrad Miller on October 15th.

Judith Storm and Bill Crandall announce their engagement. An August wedding is planned.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson are the parents of a son, Troy, born October 20th. Grandparents are Mrs. Katherine Wakeman and Mrs. Lena Thompson.
The Reverend and Mrs. Mayo Mellecke are the parents of a daughter born October 26th. Grandparents are Mrs. Mabel Mellecke and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Heintz.

Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Wulf are the parents of a son born October 30th. Grandparents are Reuben Lindskoog and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Paplow.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Van Meveren are the proud parents of a baby boy, Michael, born October 22nd. Grandparents are Mrs. Sena Tolzin and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Frisbie.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Modlin will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on November 6th with an open house.
Elmer J. Horn passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 29th while doing farm work. He was 63 years old.
Don Handy had a heart attack and passed away on November 1st. Don was the former owner of the Café owned by Archie Ruppert and the brother of Mrs. Louis Biegler and Mrs. Emil Pollack.

The Fulda School Board heard from Mrs. Schmidt on the need for more computers at the High School. The board is against purchasing any at this time.
Charles and Irene Schuur have an authentic Friesland windmill in their front yard. The windmill is a replica of one in Friesland Province in Holland.
The General Election will be held November 4th. Running for Mayor are Wallace Getzel and Mary Magnus. Running for council are Emory Beckman, Syd Halverson and Larry Schindler.
Gary and Betty Sandhurst proudly announce the arrival of Bradley Born October 25th. Grandparents are Harold and Fannie Sandhurst and Ernie and Lil Kafka.
Chuck Holinka attended the Minnesota Beer Wholesalers Association meeting in New Ulm where he took a lesson in “squeezeboxing” from Bob Schmidt of Bob’s Polka Band.
Celebrating birthdays at Maple Lawn Nursing Home this month are Mabel Buss, Dale Snyder, Anna Poss, Irene Bruns, and Harvey Talcott.
Ruby Knorr passed away on October 20th after an illness of about 3 1/2 weeks. She was 69 years old.
Firth Midgley passed away on October 22nd at the age of 85 years old.

Running as write-in candidates for mayor are Doug Houseman and Mary Magnus. Running for council are Ron Kellen, Tim Strenge, and Dave Titus.
A 911 call went out last Monday at 5:55 p.m. to the LeRoy (Bodie) and Amy Deuschle farm near Avoca where their son, Andy, had fallen in to a gravity wagon full of corn. Responding to the scene were the Avoca Rescue squad, the Murray County ambulance and sheriff, and the Fulda Police. Once on the scene the group proceeded to empty the wagon bucket by bucket until little Andy could be retrieved.
On October 28th the Fulda Police responded to a call to the Maple Lawn Nursing Home where a robbery was in progress. Police Officer Eric Leander apprehended the subject, a 14 year old boy from Jackson County, who was arrested for 1st degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 m.p.h. caused not only corn stalks and leaves to blow around but the swing set at the Kevin Raddle home to be broke in half.
Ghosts, Goblins, and Witches attended the Saturday Halloween party hosted by the Fulda Women of Today.
The Class of ‘31 flag pole at the Fulda Elementary school has been stripped and repainted. A group of Fulda High School graduates from 1930-1940 were on hand on Thursday to re-dedicate the flag pole.
The Fulda Lumber Company celebrated their 50th year of business with refreshments on Friday.
Joseph P. Kirchner passed away on October 23rd at the age of 97 years old.
Melissa Steffen and Bryce Henning announce their engagement. A November wedding is planned.
St. Paul’s Lutheran School 5th and 6th graders enjoyed an Environmental Education 48 hour learning session at Camp Omega this week.
Deann and Cullen Ober announce the birth of their son, Garrett on October 4th. Grandparents are Marv and Maxine Heinrichs and Wanda Ober.
Citizens of Tomorrow include Emily, Eileen, and Ivy Heintz; Sarah, Samantha, and Sabrina Raddle; and Alyson, Kristen and Andrew Buschena.
