New State of Minnesota Income Tax regulations are now printed and ready for distribution. The basic code was published originally in 1961.
Mr. and Mr.s Ronald Zinnel are parents of a daughter, Shannon born November 20th. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Dass and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Zinnel.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lehman are the parents of a daughter, Debra born November 19th. Grandparents are Mrs. Elmer J. Horn and Mrs. Arthur Lehman.
Clarence Schweigert recently took a deer hunting trip to Orr, Minn. A total of four deer were brought back by the party. Clarence did not get a shot at a deer but fired two shots and downed two timber wolves.
Leaders of Tomorrow include Jeanne and Michael Fazendin, Scott and Jodi Ohlrich, Mark and Timothy Betz, and Craig, Jerry and Paula Diem.
Men’s Thursday night bowling league had some high rollers this week; Edwin Lundeen 232, Ray Kremer 225, and Fred Zemler 208. For the ladies it was Evie Barnes who rolled a 233.

Nicole Christoffersen has recently received a heart transplant on Sunday after discovering in November that she had Myocarditis, an acute inflammation of the heart tissue. Nicole is 28 years old. She is a wife and mother of two and is better known in the area as Nociole Ramert, daughter of Eldon and Mary Ramert.
Fulda took home the Honorable Mention Award at the 1986 Minnesota Community Improvement Recognition Conference held on October 25th.
Gregory Phelps, former Fulda resident, reeived the Margaret E. Fairbairn Award from the National Rehabilitation Association on Sunday in Washington, D.C. The award recognizes “outstanding accomplishments and distinguished service in job placement assistance to disabled persons.”
Keith Dorpinghaus joined an elite group of FFA achievers receiving the FFA degree award at the 59th National FFA Convention.
Charles Sauer bagged an 11 point buck on Saturday while Mike Fjetstad and Scott Berman hunting their first season each bagged a deer.

Fanny G. Brandt passed away on November 7th at the age of 93 years old.

Freezing drizzle and rain falling during the later part of last week has caused numerous power outages throughout the area. Interstate Power Company has called in five crews; Winnebago, Trimont, Lewisville, Sherburn, and Amboy, for assistance.
EMTS are needed in Fulda, a course will be offered in December. In 1980 the City of Fulda purchased its first ambulance and a group of 25 community members answered the call to become EMTs. This service offers 24 hour/ 7 day a week medical transportation service.
Mayor Gary Holden proclaims American Education Week November 17-23.
Roxanne Hilfers is being honored as special employee of the year at Southview School District #110 for her work in the Clerical Center which enables teachers to devote more time to the students. Roxie, as the kids call her, is well known for her friendly smiling face as students enter the building, pass her in the lunch line, or stop by her office.
Debbie Monson and Jerry Czepa were united in marriage on August 24th at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton.
Robyn Rehborg and Gerold Van Heuvenlen were married on July 27th at Immanuel American Lutheran Church rural Fulda.
Esther Bulick passed away on November 5, 1996 at her home at the age of 80 years old.

The Fulda Fire Department was called to the home of George Bolton on Saturday night when a service line to the house started a fire. Damage was minimal.
