Mrs. Woolstencroft rites held here on Wednesday morning. Mrs. (Barbara Moritz) Woolstencroft passed away on December 13th after a lenghty illness at the age of 87 years, 9 months, 12 days.
Asa Gardner of Ceylon, MN died suddenly of a heart attack Monday afternoon, December 21, while fishing at Graham Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reker announce the birth of their daughter, Barbara, born December 18th.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Kirchner are the parents of a daughter, born December 15th. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kirchner and Mr. and Mrs. Art Krohn.
Monday afternoon Old Saint Nick arrived by fire truck handing out candy to the children attending the FREE movie at the Fulda Theatre; visited with retail stores with his jolly MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE; and assisted the C&C in drawing the names for the turkey give-a-way.
The first annual home of lights contest sponsored by the Fulda Civic and Commerce was won by the Jake Schuur home. Second prize went to Harold Nelson and third to John Schipper.
Lanoue’s Bowling Center will be open Christmas and New Year’s Day at 2:30 p.m. for open bowling.
Dick Holm of the Hormel Company was the judge for the 1959 Nobles County Western Lamb 4-H and FFA Project show held in Worthington this week. Top winner of the show was David Runkle who was coached by Kenneth Ziebarth, Ag. Instructor. Other Fulda youth show included Roger Bultman, fifth, Roy Dirksen, fourth, Marvin Dirksen, third, and Delano Dorpinghaus, second.

Funeral services were held on Saturday for Spencer Engen who passed away suddenly on December 23rd at the age of 53 years old. Mr. Engen, who had undergone surgery a few months ago, passed away of a coronary hemorrhage.
Louis Kirchner passed away early Tuesday afternoon at his home from a heart attack. Mr. Kirchner was 71 years old.
Public School custodians, Marvin Schreiber, Frank Dass and Vern Lenhoff attend the South Western Minnesota Custodian Association meeting on December 21st.
Coleen Jansen and Ernie Davis engagement announced. The wedding date has been set for February 20th.
Bridal shower held for Janice Beckman who will become the bride of Burton Levine on January 3rd.

Is Fulda Ready for Y2K? There is a lot of hype about the new millennium and how it will affect businesses as well as residents. Concerns include power outages which could affect everything from banking, to heating, to computers, to electricity to telephones. Thousands of dollars have been spent to prevent any complications as the year turns to 2000.
Members of the Fulda Cadettes Girl Scout Troop waitressed at the Christmas party held last week at Mapleview Estates as part of their Silver Award Project.
Nikki Ommen shares her love of Ty Beanies with Christian and Michaela Baumann, her friends in Germany.
Irene Wahl was the lucky recipient of the quilt raffle held at Maple Lawn in the month of December. The Quilt was lovingly hand-stitched by members of the Fulda Pink Ladies.
Mike and Darcy Burner are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Mykaylan, born November 21st. Grandparents are Diane and Richard Zanter, and Diane and Richard Burner.
Minnie Gerdes passed away at the age of 78 years old on December 24th.
