Most Reverend W. Bartholome, Bishop of St. Cloud, will be in Dundee, MN on April 5th to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation in St. Mary’s Church. Rev. Bartholome, 63 years ago, served as an alter boy at St. Mary’s Church in Dundee.
Filings for school board positions opens April 1st. Three positions need filling; Alvin Goins (who has moved from Fulda), J. B. Miranowski and Harold Brandt.
Tammy Ann Koch passed away on March 26th as a result of a car accident. Little Tammy was 3 years, 11 months and 13 days old.
The Murray County Courthouse was recently inspected by State Electrical Inspector Vernon Thompson.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wehking are the parents of a daughter, Janette Kay born March 28th in Windom. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Evert Kruse of Fulda and Mr. Elvin Wehking of Hector.

Ida Uttech passed away at the age of 87 years old on March 23, 1967.
Lloyd J. Erickson was laid to rest on Saturday after passing away in New Ulm, MN on March 21, 1967 at the age of 56 years old.
The men’s bowling league had some hot lanes this week with Larry Koster rolling a 263, Junior Czepa and Joe Hanten each had a 256 and Glen Eshleman had a 247.

Running for Miss Fulda this year are Pam Ommen, Cindy Olsem, Julie Heintz, Cheryl Sandhurst and Lynn Magnus.
The selection of a principal is going according to schedule. Twenty-two people have applied for the position, this has been narrowed down to seven. On April 10th the committee hopes to have three candidates to present to the Fulda Board of Education for consideration.
Lisa Amundson is participating in the Minnesota State Youth Art Show at the State Capital Rotunda in St. Paul, MN from March 6-27.
Fire and ambulance departments are going to a computerized 911 system. When you dial 911 your name can be fed into the computer and directions to your house will be available.
Celebrating birthdays at Maple Lawn Nursing Home this month are Edith Montgomery, Dorothy Ramert and Lillian Nelson.
Arnold Culshaw passed away at his home on March 16, 1987 at the age of 82 years old.
Dorothy Clausen passed away March 21, 1987 at the age of 68 years old.

The water is rising and from the predictions, this could be one of the worst springs for flooding in a long time. Area creeks and rivers are overflowing their banks and creating new flow areas. Many country roads are under water and deep crevices have been created by moving water. Several country homes, including that of Chuck and Mary Sauer, appear to be on an island surround with water. The only ones currently enjoying the flooding seem to be the waterfowl returning to the area.
Recently Fulda’s eighth graders completed the basic skills test now required by the state as part of the graduation standards.
Gopher Mania continues to grow in the area as homeboy Brad Wieskus is part of the Gopher Pep Band.
Fulda has a temporary water shortage. The pump meter on well No. One located at the pump-house quit on Monday night. The well normally produces 115,000 gallons per day. Well No. Five at the depot is producing 72,000 gallons per day. The city uses about 109,000 gallons per day. Well No. Four located near the telephone building will be repaired along with Well No. One on Tuesday by Spartz Well Company.
