The Civil Defense will have a display and show movies in Dundee this Saturday. Please mark your calendars – this is a must attend for area residents.

The Probst Jewelry is having a Grand Opening Sale on Friday and Saturday. Mr. Probst has just recently purchased the Koopman Jewelry and has a large stock of watches, lighters, bracelets, rings, billfolds, and gift items on hand.

An open house will be held on April 10th at the new Fulda Clinic. Everyone is invited to come and meet Dr. Fouad Sukker and tour the facility.

Mrs. Leonard Harms passed away on March 26th of a heart condition. Lizzie Redenius Harms was 59 years old.

St. Paul’s Lutheran School held their musical on Friday – Jonah and the Whale.

The Fulda High School Band earned 114 points out of 120 to take top honors at the District 8 Large Group contest in Luverne on Saturday.

Shoutin’ for Scoutin’ is the theme for the 1990 Scout-O-Rama to be held on April 7th.

Fulda Game and Fish Club continues the conservation work started a generation ago.

Included in Citizens of Tomorrow this week are Leann Prahm, Anthony Drealan, and Nicole Gunderman.

Tim Larson received an invitation to compete in the 6th Annual Minnesota State Math League Competition along with 300 other students to be held in Brooklyn Center.

DeAnn Nielsen and David Kirlin announce their engagement. A September 8th wedding is being planned.

Caroline “Lena” Reusse passed away March 26th at the age of 92 years old.

Joe and Brenda Clausen are happy to announce the arrival of their son, Anthony, born March 26th. Grandparents are Stanley and Eva Clausen and Darrell and Mary Horkey.

Murray County Hospital Board has discussion on whether or not the Slayton Clinic should join with the Sioux Valley Health Systems.

First grader Paul Duerr and kindergartner Philip Duerr shared their newly born lamb with fellow classmates this week. They took time to demonstrate how to bottle feed the baby lamb whose name was Fluffy.

The Fulda Community players to perform “I Remember Mama” on April 14, 15, and 16.

Craig Hillier, motivational speaker, plays Simon Says with students at the Fulda High School.

The Fulda spelling team took second place at Southwest Star Concept; team members include Kaitlyn Kramer, Matt Vortherms, Mya Olsem, Emily Cowan, Allison Kremer  and Emily Ramerth.

The City of Fulda will hold a Clean Up Day on April 18, 2000.
