Hylop Hardware, who recently completed the installation of modern fixtures, have invited all to come inspect the new display cases and enjoy a donut and coffee.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mansmith attended a three day Red Owl Food Merchandising Clinic in Minneapolis recently. Mansmith’s have operated the Fulda Red Owl for 4 years.
Ken’s Radio and TV Shop has moved to Windom. Mr. Ken Even has induced Mr. Patterson, former shop owner, to return to Fulda to tend to customers.
Going in the mail this week is a four-page circular from Gits Mercantile and Reusse Furniture containing many outstanding bargains.
Fulda is NOT Dead – is the opinion of 36 business men! A village is far from dead that provides the beautiful churches found in Fulda, the two parochial schools, a remodeled elementary school and a recently constructed junior/senior high school.
Funeral rites for Mary Haumesser, passed away after a long, lingering illness, were held on Monday, April 13th.
Funeral services for Peter Haar, 71, who died at his home on April 7th, were held on Friday.
Loraine Ruby is the new Home Agent in charge of working with women in the Extension Home Economics program as well as the 4-H program.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Daughenbaugh are the parents of a son born April 14. Dr. and Mrs. William McGlin are the grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Loren Ness are the parents of a daughter born on Sunday. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Graf.

Fulda Community Players delivered another outstanding performance as the cast, led by Theane Pagel and Rick Goedtke presented “Oklahoma”.
Larry Aanenson sold the insurance portion of his company, Aanenson Agency Incorporate, to Ed Herrig and Dave DeYounge.
Jan Wehking was sworn in as new council person at Monday’s meeting. Wehking takes the place of Tim Strenge who has moved.
Denny Appel offered the city council $1.00 plus legal fees for the old Legion building; offer accepted.
Kim Grams, instructor of ballet and tap dance for the Fulda Community Education program, will be holding a dance recital featuring K-2 ballet class, 3-6 ballet class and tap class.
Fulda Reading Club is looking for help in funding to expand the library.
Fulda Cub Scouts hold their annual Pinewood Derby with 1st place going to Cory Thiner, 2nd place to Charlie Stainer, 3rd place to Cody Ommen and Ross Bearenwald took home the appearance trophy.
