Everyone interested in attending a free short course in modern welding can sign up for the clinic at Gambles store. The welding course will be held Tuesday, April 10th and offer tips on the new improved line of welding equipment for farm, shop and home use.
The Fulda Board of Education, along with Worthington, Round Lake, and Brewster, toured vocational centers in the area recently in hopes of establishing a vocational center here.
The Fulda Village Council voted last Monday evening in favor of the petition creating the nine-county Region Eights.
Mrs. Sanborn, school nurse, visited the 7th and 8th grades at St. Paul’s School to demonstrate how blood types are determined and to explain blood pressures. Each student had their blood typed and pressure taken.
The U.S. Agriculture Dept. announces an amendment to Food Stamp Regulations which makes the use of public assistance withholding an option of the state agencies, deletes the provision that no person can be charged with violations based on information in his affidavit.
Vandals used spray paint on the Fulda School last Friday night. Cost of removing the damage is estimated at $1,000.00.
After 12 years in business, Dolores and Benny Amborn sell their plumbing and heating business to Mindy and Larry Gielen. Benny has accepted a position as Plumbing Inspector for the city of Coon Rapids.
An Air National Guard helicopter flew above Fulda before landing at the athletic field behind the high school last Saturday. The helicopter was announce in the upcoming open house in Worthington. Residents were invited to view and even sit in the helicopter.
Cynthia Schwantes and Mark Ramert were united in marriage on March 27th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington. The couple plan to make their home near Luverne.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hogan are the parents of a baby boy, Shawn, born March 27th. Grandparents include Mrs. Ted Viegel and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hogan.
Mr. and Mrs. Craig Oakland are the parents of a baby girl, Nichole, born March 28th. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Lester Chepa and Mr. and Mrs. Andy Oakland.
Mr. and Mrs. David Barents are the parents of a baby girl, Rebecca, born March 25th. Grandparent include John Barents and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beech.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dalin to observe their 50th wedding anniversary on April 8th.

Pernice and Pete Kellen, married a “Golden 50 Years” share their memories of the early days including when Fulda had an airport.
Charlie Clauson is ready to take on Fulda residents in a game of wheelchair basketball. The game will be played on April 8th at the Fulda High School.
The Fulda City Council discusses garbage problems and cleanup day at their recent meeting.
The Fulda Area Community choir will perform “Handel’s Messiah” on February 21st.
Citizens of Tomorrow feature Amanda, Angela, and Anita Beeck, Gretchen, Mark and Megan Enninga, and Corey, Tara, and Travis Boehnke.
Tracey Hoffman and Kurt Beeck announce their engagement. A June 4th wedding is planned.

Retiring from the Fulda Community Ambulance Service are Linda Clauson, Vicki Deuschle, Merna Beeck and Ron Reneke.
The Fulda Community Players will perform 3 one-act plays; Hopes and Words and Ordinary Things, The Storm, and A Bull In A China Shop.
Fulda City Council hears Safety Commission recommendations.
RoseMary and Edward Schweigert, representing the VFW Post 9017 and Auxiliary, took time on Thursday to share their knowledge of the American Flag with seven young Wolf Scouts; Kody Kramer, Chris Witzel, Ross Baerenwald, Zach Titus, Corey Thiner, Eric Ahlers and Joseph Ternus.
Heather Uttech was named as this year’s Girl State participant by the Fulda American Legion Auxiliary.
