An “On the Farm,” tire service truck has been purchased. by the Fulda Cooperative Oil Company according to General Manager, Dean Moller.  This means that new farm tires can be installed and repair work done right on the farm.

It’ll be Knothole Gang Day at the Metropolitan Stadium this Saturday when the Minnesota Twins meet the Baltimore Orioles.

On Wednesday of last week neighbors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. John Aukland came to their farm home to help with corn shelling and putting up hay.

Lois Geerdes, 17, was crowned Miss Fulda at the 1966 Fulda Water Festival this passed Sunday.

Hilary D. Barry, owner of the Barry Construction Company at Lake Wilson, today announced that he filed for State House of Representatives from District 19B.

Mel Carlson, a former Fulda resident, purchased the Marland Chevrolet Company at Truman, Minnesota. The new firm officially opened July 11 and will be known as Mel Carlson Chevrolet, Inc.,

Fulda’s Continental Co-et’s returned from a successful week of engagements touring, Alberta and Saskatchewain, Canada. The group includes Carolyn Behr, Carol Goins, Vicki Steinman, Nancy Hoffmann and Mary Jo Hoffmann.

Older residents here will be sorry to learn of the death of an old neighbor, George Torkelson, 94, who passed away on May 26th. Notice of his death came to our area through the Royal Neighbor Lodge of Fulda.

Mr. William Leinen passed away from a massive hemorrhage which occurred at the Worthington Hospital on July 15th.

Joan Aukland, 5, passed away after a water tank on a flatbed trailer accidently fell on her pinning her against a building. Funeral services were held July 21st in Avoca.

Word was received here today that Frank Fielder, formerly of Fulda, passed away on July 26th.

John E. Norberg, 91, passed away on July 13th.

Leonard Heinemann, of Plainsco Sales, demonstrated the locator camera in one of Fulda’s manholes on Friday morning to Pudge Sanow, Wastewater and Water Superintendent of Fulda.

Kathy Adams and Barb Chepa open “Finish It!” staining and varnishing shop on main street in Fulda.

Two juveniles, who were responsible for the Post Office vandalism, were apprehended by the Fulda Police Department over the weekend.
