The Fulda municipal beach will officially open June 11th. A life guard will be on duty between 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with an hour off for supper.
Fatal motorcycle crashes on Minnesota highways have increased alarmingly during the early months of 1973, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. The 1973 fatality rate has doubled over the same three month period in 1972.

The flags flying in the strong breeze, men and women standing at attention, and the deafening roar of the 21 gun salute all added up to the Memorial Day salute held at the Fulda Lake.
Graduation held at the Fulda High School on Friday night.
Fulda Mealsite celebrated it’s 12th anniversary on May 25th with a nutritious hot meal made by cook Darlene Sell.
Gene and Arlene Bloemendaal are proud to announce the birth of Bryan on May 7th. Grandparents are Marie Kirchner and Pete and Rosella Bloemendaal.
Four musicians from the Fulda High School were chosen to perform with the Minnesota All-State Band; Alanna Moger, Mark Gerdes, Brian Faltinson and Tim Biren.
Fulda FHA Chapter President, Anne Bunkers accepted the chapter service award from Governor Rudy Perpich and Minneapolis Mayor Bill Fraser.
A sign went up on the edge of town announcing the arrival of the Fulda Germany Band for the summer festival to be held July 7-10.

1998 Fulda High School Graduation held with 52 students crossing the stage to receive a diploma.
Diana Grandgeorge shares her story about her battle with cancer with the sixth grade class at the Fulda Elementary School; explaining the students how cancer works in the human body with a poster she made.
The City of Fulda accepted the low bid of $18,298 from Worthington Ford for a 1998 four-wheel drive pickup.
Construction on St. Paul Avenue continues on schedule.
Open house held at the Fulda Post Office on Thursday morning to give customers the chance to visit with local postal workers and observe the post office operations.
Fulda High School Class of 1998 spend time sprucing up the community and were rewarded with hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by Principal Dale Kirsch.
Pet Day held at St. Paul’s Lutheran School. After the students were introduced to each pet they walked them to Maple Lawn Nursing Home were they shared them with residents.
