A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
December 20, 2016 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Moline, Jens, Magnus, Kluis and Thiner. Also present Aurora Heard, Heidi Winter, and Travis Smith.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to approve consent agenda items 1 and 2.
MSP Resolution 2016-12-20-01, Resolution Adopting the Final Assessment Roll Murray County Ditch 73 – Improvement.
MSP Resolution 2016-12-20-02, Resolution Adopting the Final Assessment Roll Murray County Ditch 35 – Improvement and Lateral No. 1.
MSP to authorize a $5,064.34 expenditure to Office One Solutions for the purchase of desks for the Recorder’s Office, further moving that it be paid in 2017.
Open Forum/Public Comment – John and Jeff Meyer were present to discuss County Ditch 22.
MSP to approve reimbursing the Swan brothers an amount of $38,703.51 for county road 86.
The meeting was recessed.
The meeting was called back to order with the following members present: Commissioners Moline, Jens, Magnus, Kluis and Thiner. Also present Aurora Heard, Dennis Goebel, MCMC CEO, and Paula Rolfes, MCMC HR Director.
The Board was presented with three compensation/classification study proposals: Mike Verdoorn and August Zhu from Fox Lawson & Associates, A Division of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc.; Carol Loncar, Flaherty-Hood, P.A.; Tessia Melvin, David Drown & Associates.
MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of December 4, 2016 to December 17, 2016.
MSP to grant a contract extension to Cooreman Contracting, Inc. for the County Ditch 29 open ditch clean out, extending the deadline for completion to May 15, 2017.
MSP Resolution 2016-12-20-03, Resolution Setting the 2017 Final Levy
MS to deny the request from Soil and Water for 2017 for additional funding in the amount of $18,000 for a capacity services grant. Motion failed.
MSP to approve the updated VALIC document and authorize Coordinator Heard to sign the documents.
MSP Resolution 2016-12-20-04, Authorizing Adoption of Plan Restatement
MS to deny the request from Soil and Water for 2017 for additional funding in the amount of $18,000 for a capacity services grant. Motion failed.
