A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

January 21, 2020 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Gunnink, Jens, Kluis, and Welgraven. Also present were Travis Smith and Amy Rucker.

MSP to approve the minutes of the January 7, 2020 meeting.

MSP that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated January 21, 2020 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 161271 through 161331:

County Revenue Fund 70,148.13

County Road & Bridge Fund 8,507.27

Debt Service 645.00

Self-Insurance 482.76

Sunrise Terrace 1,164.49

SAWS 154.00

Total 81,101.65

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches 22 and 77 and Judicial Ditches 3, 6, 10, 13, and 20A totaling $15,158.60.

MSP to approve the 2020/2021 Snowmobile Safety Enforcement (SSE) Safety Grant in the amount of $3,809.00 for each year.

MSP to approve and authorize the Board Chair to sign the annual law enforcement contracts with the Cities of Dovray, Currie, Iona, Hadley, and Chandler.

MSP to appoint Dennis Welgraven and David Thiner (Alternate) to the Southwest Public Sector Collaborative.

MSP to appoint the following to the Audit Committee:

•County Board Chair

•County Board Vice Chair (Alternate)

•County Auditor-Treasurer

•SAWS Committee Chair

•County Administrator

MSP to approve the Murray County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) quarterly allocation request.

MSP to approve the purchase of a new forklift for the recycling center from Bennett Material handling for $27,944.40 (account 01-395-395-6650) and to declare two old forklifts as surplus property and authorize their sale via eBay.

MSP to approve a status change for McKenna Schreier, Dispatcher/Jailer, from regular part-time to intermittent, effective January 21, 2020.

MSP to accept, with regret, the resignation of Jacki Jurrens, Dispatcher/Jailer, effective January 24, 2020.

MSP to approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Southwest Healthcare Preparedness Coalition Participation Agreement.

MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of December 29, 2019 to January 11, 2020.
