Important Information Regarding Property Assessments
This may affect your 2021 property taxes
Due to the corona virus epidemic – COVID-19, please contact the Murray County Assessor’s Office at 507-836-1104 for an update on meeting time and location. To protect you as well as others, you will need to participate in the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization (LBAE) process via teleconference call during the allocated board meeting date and time. The teleconference number is 617-944-8543 or toll free 844-890-7777. Please contact your city clerk or the County Assessor’s Office by phone or mail to address your questions and concerns prior to the LBAE date.
The Board of Appeal and Equalization for the townships and cities in Murray County, Minnesota will meet via teleconference for each township or city as listed below. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.
