The Fulda Raider Girls’ basketball team split a pair of Red Rock Conference games this week, defeating Westbrook-Walnut Grove 40-28 on Tuesday night and falling 79-44 against Hills-Beaver Creek Friday night. The Raiders used great defense and some key bench shooting to get past WWG, but were undone by a hot shooting Patriots offense later in the week.
Against Westbrook-Walnut Grove, the Raiders overcame a slow, cold-shooting start with some great defense and a strong second half. Fulda fell behind early but battled back to take a 13-5 lead midway through the 1st half on the back of two 3-pointers from Emily Schroer. However, foul trouble and cold shooting plagued the Raiders as the Chargers came back to take a 15-13 lead into the last minute.
