On Friday night, the Raiders made their way over to Edgerton to face off with the Edgerton Dutchman in a conference matchup. Both teams battled in a close back and forth game, but the Raiders were able to pull out the victory with some strong free throw shooting late, 73-62.
Tyler Madison finished the game with 23 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Payton Marquardt added 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Brandon Clausen chipped in 10 points, and Cory Renneke led the team in assists with 7.
The Dutchman were able to get to on the board first as they were able to drive to the basket for a layup. Marquardt got the Raiders on the scoreboard first when he connected on a 3-pointer from the wing. The Raiders were able to use a full-court press in the first 6 minutes of the game to force the Dutchman into some turnovers, which the Raiders were able to capitalize on. Renneke was able to hit from long distance and Sam Cheadle was able to find Logan Erdmann on the baseline for a layup.
