Ramerth Hardware, Inc., has been named the June Business of the Month by the Fulda Area Community Club. The business is located at 205 Front Street E. Doug and Lyn Ramerth are the owners of the retail hardware store which also offers small engine repair, cutting torch and welding gases, carpet and linoleum, glass and screen repair, propane tank refills, local salt and water delivery, custom paint mixing, helium balloons, greeting cards, school supplies and toys, and hunting and fishing licenses.
Ramerth Hardware was established in 2004 and was located on Fulda’s St. Paul Avenue for a short time until it was moved to its current location. Former owners of the hardware store were Hyslop Hardware, Marv’s Hardware and Appel’s Hardware.
Regarding the history of the building: Part of the building was originally owned by Don Schwab, a former lumber yard owner. In 1993 it was purchased and built onto by Ramerth Ag Service. Doug and Lyn purchased the property from Ramerth Ag Service in 2008.
