On a night where the Raiders needed a win, Randi Tiesler set a milestone for herself. Coming into the game against the MLA Wolverines, Tiesler needed four points to hit the 1000-point mark.
The Raiders started off slow and went down 2-11 early in the game. The team did not get discouraged and found themselves clawing back. With four minutes to go in the half, Tiesler got fouled and hit two free throws to put her not only at 998 points but to narrow the lead the Wolverines had.
As the half was winding down, Tiesler received a pass at the elbow, set her feet, and drilled a shot from about 20 feet out. This not only put the Raiders within one point but allowed Tiesler to surpass 1000 points. This shot added her to a long list, 14 to be exact, of exceptional athletes and students that have come through the Fulda Girls Basketball program. After that shot, the Raiders never looked back.
