An experienced Murray County Central High School varsity girls’ basketball team surged with an impressive first half, scoring 62 points and earning a convincing 88-40 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda in a Red Rock Conference game at Slayton last Friday evening, November 30.
It was the third game of the season for the Coyotes, who were playing away from home for the first time.
HL-O / Fulda has a pair of away games this week, traveling to Mountain Lake Tuesday (December 4) to tangle with the newly-paired Mountain Lake Area / Comfrey Wolverines and heading to Westbrook Thursday (December 6) to clash with the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers, who Coyotes’ head coach Anna Brandt had a scout last week (Thursday, November 29) when the Chargers posted a 62-55 victory over Madelia.
