Morgan Gehl received a rousing send off on Friday morning from the students and staff at both Fulda High School and Fulda Elementary School. The send-off was to wish her good luck at the Minnesota State Cross Country Meet scheduled for Saturday at Saint Olaf College.
On Friday morning with the band playing, the students gathered in the gymnasium of Fulda High School. Principal Tyson Walker greeted them and explained that Morgan had finished the course at the Section 3A championship held in Madison at a time of 19:06.48 and was on her way to the State Cross Country Meet.
With the crowd cheering, Morgan broke through a huge Congratulations Morgan sign. Student representatives from football, basketball, and cross country teams wished Morgan good luck and presented her with good luck signs, candy, and gatorade.
