Healthcare is something Sanna Wendt has done for a long time. She is now moving into a new capacity and has taken on the administrator’s position at Hospice of Murray County.
Even though Wendt has worked at Hospice for nearly a year it wasn’t until just recently she was moved to the interim administrator’s position. Former administrator Jessie Jorgenson had an opportunity closer to home open up and as much as she hated to leave her job at Hospice, the opportunity was too good to pass up.
Wendt, on the other hand, began working at Hospice of Murray County last April as a registered nurse. “It has given me the chance to get to know the place, how it works and the people involved,” shared Wendt when speaking about the facility.
She completed her registered nurse training at Minnesota West a couple of year ago and had previously worked as a LPN.
Wendt grew up near Revere and graduated from Walnut Grove. After graduation she made her way to the Twin Cities to study sociology and psychology and earned her bachelor’s degree. During that time, however, Wendt worked in dietary at a nursing home.
