At the February meeting of the Fulda School Board, quotes for remodeling at Fulda Elementary School were approved. The purpose of the remodeling is to re-open third floor so that it can be used for classrooms beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.
Approved was the estimate from Douglas Brinks for electrical wiring for the third floor stairwell doors at a cost of $2,475.00.
The third floor construction remodeling bid from Randy Dierks Construction was approved at a cost of $14,745.00
The school board also approved a property appraisal for insurance purposes that will be done by CBIZ Valuation Group, LLC at a cost of approximately $3,000.00.
Also approved was a Letter of Intent to Negotiate an Initial or Subsequent Agreement Establishing Terms and Conditions of Employment from Angie Lien, Minnesota School Employees Association Representative. The negotiations involve 29 Fulda School District employees.
A proposal for ACT Test Preparation was approved by the board members. Loren Carlson will lead the preparation class and offer it after school on Monday, March 6th, and Wednesday, March 8th. Times will be from 3:30 – 6 p.m. each day. Pizza and drink will be offered to the students at the conclusion of each review day. The fee will be $10.00 per students.
