Sophomore Adrian Schwaller was MCC / F’s first runner in the 46-finisher junior varsity (JV) boys’ race over a 4,000-meter course. Schwaller placed 15th, covering the 2.5-mile distance in 18:15.6.
Junior Logan Clarke (34th, 21:30.4) and freshman Derek Kluis (36th, 21:33.7) finished close to each other in the JV competition.
Seventh-grader Caleb Appel ran a fine race for the Warriors in the 2,000-meter junior high event, completing the distance with a 17th-place (out of 65 finishers) time of 8:11.5.
Seventh-grader Zach Kirchner was MCC / F’s second junior high runner, finishing 28th (8:40.0), followed by eighth-graders John Olsem (44th, 9:28.2) and Caleb Ethridge (48th, 9:57.9).
Both the JV and junior high groups were incomplete in the team scoring.
The Warriors will participate in huge 18-team Panther Invitational Thursday (September 5) at the Tracy Golf Course and will run at Worthington’s Turkey Trot Invite at Prairie View next Thursday, September 12.
