EDGERTON — A bruising rushing attack and stifling defense by Edgerton/Ellsworth was too much for the Fulda Raiders Saturday afternoon in a high school playoff football game as part of the Section 3 post-season tournament, featuring a pair of good Nine-Man teams who had earned advancement to the semifinal round.

Coming off a high-scoring, 60-44, victory over Madelia three days earlier (see separate story), the Raiders were outmatched Saturday by the physical play of the perennial-powerful Flying Dutchmen, who improve to 9-1  and will play Hills-Beaver Creek (8-2) for the section championship Thursday (November 3) in Marshall at 7 p.m.

Fulda, meanwhile, finished a fine season with an overall record of 5-5 — after going 1-8 in 2015.
