Second half push not enough as Falcons defeat Raiders

After cutting the Falcon lead down to 8 in the second half, the Raiders ran out of gas and ultimately fell in their home finale on last Tuesday when they hosted the RRC Falcons on Senior Night. The Raiders honored their three seniors before the game; Cory Renneke, Payton Marquardt, and Sam Cheadle.

Tyler Madison led the Raiders with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Cory Renneke chipped in 11 points and 4 assists, while Payton Marquardt added 11 points himself.

The early part of the game saw the Falcons and Raiders go back and forth. Marquardt and Renneke began the game for the Raiders launching up 3-pointers and they were able to hit 3 total in the first half. After a while, the Raiders were able to work the ball around and find Brandon Clausen and Logan Erdmann on the baseline for jumpers of their own. The Raiders had held the Falcons to a 18-18 game with just 5 minutes left in the first half. But unfortunately for Fulda, the Falcons went on a 16-0 run to end the half. RRC got the Raiders to take some difficult shots and got their guards to commit turnovers, while also getting the ball to one of the best players in the conference, Spencer Halland, and he went to work for himself and while also finding his teammates. The Falcons led at half 34-18.
