The Fulda Boys’ Basketball Team traveled down to Ellsworth on January 22nd to take on the Panthers in a conference game. The Panthers got off to a hot shooting start and were able to get a big lead early and hold on for a 63-41 victory over the Raiders.
Tyler Madison finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sam Cheadle added 12 points and 6 rebounds.
The Panthers started the game with back to back open 3-pointers, while the Raiders struggled shooting. Cheadle got the Raiders on the board first with a nice layup from the wing. But unfortunately, that was all the Raiders were going to get for a while.
Ellsworth jumped out to a 10-2 lead before the Raiders called a timeout, and then also a 20-6 lead forcing another timeout. Madison was able to drive to the basket and get multiple shots in the lane for the Raiders, while Cheadle hit a 3-pointer. But Ellsworth had done enough damage and the Raiders offense was cold, giving Ellsworth a 38-15 lead at halftime.
