New Vision Co-op is sponsoring a free viewing event of the movie SILO at Memorial Auditorium, Worthington, on Saturday, March 14th, 7 p.m.
SILO – Feeding the world comes at a cost was inspired by true events. It is the story of the events that unfold when 18-year-old Cody Rose becomes entrapped in a 50-foot-tall grain bin. When the corn turns to quicksand, family, neighbors and first responders must put aside their differences to rescue Cody from drowning in the grain.
SILO tells of the many, very real stresses of life on the farm, especially the physical dangers. It also places equal emphasis on how rural communities come together when a neighbor is in need.
